I am sure you know what I am talking about when I say “get rich” mentality.
We have all subscribed to it at some point in our lives, whether it was Get Rich by working hard mowing lawns and/or paper delivery when we were kids or get rich by going to school to learn a skill or even get rich by coming up with a good an MLM or book or script or invention. But I think we’ve all wanted to (at one point on our lives) get rich.
I strongly believe that:
You must exchange a product or service and usually in abundance to get rich.
Most people don’t understand the exchange that a trader is giving, let alone the investor who puts his money with that trader (Managed Acocunts) and so one can get a confused get rich idea, if people see no exchange from the trader and the investor but DO see that they are getting rich those people may also seek an avenue to get rich that provides no service or has no product. This would be a very bad conclusion to make… and has led many people down the wrong path.
If one looked a little harder he would see the products and services being exchanged, and in a big way if that person were to get rich.
First of all, there is a market, the markets “service” to people is fair prices for the individuals that want to buy and sell those products, easy enough. The trader is invited into the market to speculate on price changes and make profits if he can successfully forecast future prices. His service is increased liquidity to that particular market, this is something that a market MUST have in order to provide it’s service of establishing a fair price.
Now the investor who leverages the trader is providing a service to both the trader and the overall market, he leverages the trader and thus the trader makes more money with less risk, for this service to the traders profits made with the investors money are shared between investor and trader. And second, the investor is helping with the liquidity in the overall market.
So, I hope by this you can see that there is a service, product, and that with more work and better quality work (trader) and more money (Investor) there is more services to be exchanged and therefore the parties who get rich are doing so without violating the truth I hold so dearly: Hard work = get rich.
